As we watch leaves fluttering to the ground in the fall, we are reminded that nature’s cycles are mirrored in our lives. This is the time to appreciate the impermanence of everything and the beauty in these times of transition is where I find inspiration as an artist.

It is a season to practice getting out of our own way, so that we might be able to create the space for imagination.
I personally have used this moment to break my normal habit of rushing around in between the shop’s two locations, to work with my west coast clients. Sometimes you just need to take a time out.

Even though I live in two extreme locations, I still crave the feeling of the wind, earth and air in any place I visit.  Observing the patterns of nature and how they mirror and influence many patterns I use in my tattoo designs is how I enjoy my down time.

Thank you southern Oregon and northern California, I will back through the west coast at the end of January(mostly California).  If I missed you on this journey let’s make a date for the future! I’m possibly looking at a trip to Australia or New Zealand in February.  Let me know if you have interest in being tattooed in these places.

Until we meet again, remember whatever your walk of life is, take the time out for inspiration!
